It's with great pleasure that our sister business, Mending Minds, Healing Hearts, has partnered with JustBe Farm. This summer we will present exciting events and opportunities for the community to come together, to listen, to learn and to grow a sustainable connection with nature, each other and ourselves.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Nurse, Kate Mattleman has over 30 years experience, working with children, adults and families. Kate loves to shares her passion, knowledge and wisdom with whoever she comes into contact. Experts from our local community will join Kate in sharing the gifts of their respective fields.
The time has come to share and highlight the many talents that live between both our Mending Minds, Healing Hearts and JustBe Farm communities. We are excited to share that we will be hosting a very special lecture series beginning this May at the farm.
The series will begin on Sunday, May 15th and run through the middle of July,
excluding the Sunday before Memorial Day and 4th of July.

May 15
Gloves on the Ground and Peace & Unity Gardens
Damon Smith,founder of Gloves on the Ground, the peace and unity gardens, veteran, gardener, and educator
Damon will review the 2 central missions of Gloves on the Ground, give a tour of the Peace & Unity Garden and how it's focus on the diverse plants within the design, the stories behind many of them.
An opportunity to purchase heirloom (Conflict) seeds will be offered.

The Nature of Business
Audra Malerba Williams, founder of The Body of Work,
Professional Studies Professor, Earth-Centered Living Advocate
Audra will review the basic foundation of a business's creation and how the specific voice of it's mission and vision is unique to the founders' personal nature and purpose. We will talk about drive and how determination, discipline and consistency can create longevity when it comes to any project and the nature of it evolves as life is guided.

Sun Teas + Accessible Herbalism
Briana Bee, Director of Enlightened Farm, using horticultural therapy and Herbalism for recovery, health and wellbeing
Briana will share an overview on healing and how tasty herbs from the garden can support the process. We will explore herbal sun teas with natural sweetener and gain instructions on how to create this on your own.

This Place is For the Birds - Cape May on the Migration Main Line
David La Puma, Director of Global Market Development, advocate of bird migration and the emergent technology used to study it
The Cape May Peninsula is home to one of the greatest spectacles of bird migration twice a year. Come hear about why Cape May differs from most anywhere else on earth, and how you too can experience the magic of migration right here in your backyard. Speaking of backyards, David will give you tips on how you can create your own piece of critical stopover habitat for birds and butterflies on their journey.

Growing Community with CROPS
Paige Vaccaro, founder of Communities Revolutionizing Open Public Spaces (C.R.O.P.S.)
Paige will provide an overview of the CROPS mission, journey and programming. Through images and storytelling, participants will get a feel for just how unique and special its work has become. With hands-on components and sheer infectious charisma, Paige will generate excitement and curiosity that will make everyone want to volunteer their free time just to get their hands in the soil and be a part of this revolution of open public spaces.
